This document was writtenthat we have chosen is by Hal Allaire, the son of Mr. Allaire,  who liked to write plays in his free time. Did you know that the Big House was built in three Did you know that the Big House was built in three sections?The first section, which contains the front porch, dates back to the Palmer Saw Mill circa 1790. The kitchen was added on after Mr. Allaire purchased the property, most likely during the 1820s. The three story brick dormitory was added on soon after. The Historic Village at Allaire is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, licensed by the State of New Jersey to operate and manage the historic property located within Allaire State Park.

Allaire Village does not receive state funding, and relies on donations, membership, and fundraising events to help fulfill our mission of preserving the history of this site, and educating the public about life in the Village in 1836. Donations to Allaire Village are tax deductible.
