There is no better way to learn about history than experiencing it and we invite you to travel back in time to the 19th century to discover a community of long ago.
Our school group tours compliment the State of New Jersey’s Social Studies Curriculum and though geared toward fourth grade education can be tailored for all grade levels as well as adult organizations, summer camps and special needs programs.
Attendees will be introduced to The Howell Works Company, a thriving and prosperous iron producing community during the Industrial Revolution. They will learn about various facets of life during this time period including commercial, domestic and social aspects. A look into the people, their everyday life, and the challenges they faced will provide an insight as to the impact of the Industrial Revolution in New Jersey.
