Virtual Tour Program

Travel back to 19th century New Jersey and explore the history of the Howell Iron Works right from the comfort of your own classroom or home! For the first time ever The Historic Village at Allaire is offering a virtual tour program, facilitated by members of our Education Department, with a combination of videos of period demonstrations and trades, artifacts and Q & A’s with   interpreters. Students will come away from this program learning about the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution, life in the 19th century and a better understanding of their local history!

Our virtual tour is more geared towards upper elementary school children and adheres to New Jersey Student Learning Standards but is adaptable to higher education as well.
